The best time for the Mount Toubkal Trek is from April to October when the weather is most stable and the trails are clear of snow. Summer months offer warmer temperatures but can be crowded. Spring and autumn provide ideal conditions with comfortable temperatures and fewer trekkers.
You'll spend one night at the Toubkal Refuge located at 3,200 meters altitude. Physical preparation is essential for the Mount Toubkal Trek. We recommend regular cardio exercise (running, cycling, hiking) for at least 2-3 months before your trek. Bring sturdy hiking boots, warm layers (temperatures can drop below freezing at the refuge), waterproof jacket, headlamp, and personal medications. A detailed equipment list will be provided upon booking your Mount Toubkal Trek.
Yes, altitude sickness can affect anyone above 2,500 meters. Our itinerary is designed to help with acclimatization, spending one night at 3,200m before the summit attempt. Staying hydrated and listening to your body are key to preventing serious issues.
Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are dangerous (high winds, heavy snow, or poor visibility), our experienced guides may decide to postpone or cancel the summit attempt. In such cases, we may extend the trek by one day if possible, or provide alternative activities in the area. While we cannot control the weather, we'll do everything possible to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience in the High Atlas Mountains.
